About the opportunity

To collect pre-selected materials from the library.
To deliver items to customers and pick up returns from the last visit.
To provide a stable link with customers, in order to encourage feedback on the service.
To promote the stock and services of Blackburn with Darwen library and information services to residents and relay any requests back to staff at the library, in order to better meet customer needs.
To use their own car and ensure that their car insurance will cover them for their duties outlined above.

About Library And Information Service (BwD)

Provide all residents of Blackburn with Darwen with a range of facilities and achives and a welcoming enviornment within the library and information service.

What are they looking for?

Literacy and numeracy skills
Commitment to equal opportunities
Commitment to ensuring the highest levels of customer care.
Helpful and approachable disposition.
Willing to undertake training.
Current driving licence.

Practical Considerations

Hours to be arranged. A minimum of 1 half day per fortnight.
Deliveries across the borough.
