About the opportunity

This opportunity requires volunteers to do a three hour shift 11am to 2pm or 1pm to 4pm.

Service Description: Your Support Your Choice is a free and friendly support & information service putting people in touch with a wide range of services and community groups. The service aims to assist local people to maintain and improve independence & wellbeing whilst preventing a small problem becoming a crisis
Role Purpose: Help Desk Assistants support the positive delivery of the Your Support Your Choice helpdesk. Working with the Helpdesk Officer you will welcome customers, assist with enquiries and research local services to maintain the community resource database. This role is ideal for those looking for experience in health & social care, working with a wide range of client groups or for those interested in customer service environments.
Duties:
‘ Welcome customers & partners to the service, being their first point of contact.
‘ Listen to customers, gathering appropriate information of their enquiry
‘ Provide guidance & support to customers on the options available to them
‘ Research enquiries where needed to maintain and update the service database
‘ Seek support from the helpdesk officer as required
‘ Assist with customer follow ups by phone with support from the help desk officer
‘ Follow Your Support Your Choice procedures
