We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic person to continue the development and delivery of the Lancashire LGBT Quality Mark, a quality assurance scheme for service providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the scheme to organisations and supporting them through each step of the process to achieve the mark.
Applicants must have experience of engaging with service providers (paid or unpaid) and have a well-informed understanding of issues affecting LGB&T people.

BBC Radio Lancashire currently have a vacancy for their Action Team Leader. The Action Team is staffed by a group of volunteers working Monday to Friday providing a support service to the radio station. The Action Team currently provide help to listeners who call requesting information about any of the subjects covered on programmes, give-aways, charities and public information. The station is looking to develop and expand this service and require a dedicated co-ordinator to be the on air representative of the Action Team and to oversee forthcoming public service campaigns.

 

The successful applicant will need to be able to commit to ideally 20 hrs per week over five days approx 10.30 – 2.30. They will need to have good organisational skills and a basic knowledge of computers. Their role will include overseeing the day to day running of the Action Team in conjunction with the Station Sound Producer and to be closely involved in the recruitment of new Action Team volunteers. Training will be given for the on air aspect of this position.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a part time staff member within the ARC Project. This project, which was established in 2004 by the Methodist Church, supports newly arrived asylum seekers and refugees in the Blackburn with Darwen area by creating a safe and welcoming space for them to learn about life in the UK and rebuild their lives.

The West Pennine Moors Methodist Circuit is looking to employ an English Club Co-ordinator for 15 hours per week. The salary will be £7800 with a fixed term contract for 12 months, based at Wesley Hall Methodist Church in the centre of Blackburn.

The purpose of this post is to coordinate and supervise English Club volunteers in the delivery of the English classes that ARC currently provides to its users.

Evening Crew: Your primary role will be to assist in refilling the shop sections and ensuring all store deliveries are completed as quickly and accurately as possible ready for the next days trade. This is likely to involve early or late shifts out of normal trading hours.

Working on a flexible and rolling shift pattern, they will be responsible for doing everything possible to make any guests day, making sure that the guests’ needs and requirements are met efficiently, in a timely and in professional fashion, both on the slopes and in the changing village.

  • Previous experience in a guest-facing role
  • Be competent in setting up the business before guests arrive; both coldside and warmside
  • An interest in the Snowsports and the Leisure industry, and a genuine passion for our products will be invaluable

  • Ability to deal with Guests and employees in sometimes stressful situations
